Reliability Centered Maintenance (ABB)
(Well said by the Wikipedia at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reliability-centered_maintenance) Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is a process to ensure that systems continue to do what their users require in their present operating context. It is generally used to achieve improvements and establish safe minimum levels of maintenance. Implementation of RCM can lead to an increase in cost-effectiveness by improving reliability, increasing machine uptime, and understanding the level of maintenance risk under management. RCM is defined by the technical standard SAE JA1011, establishes the Evaluation Criteria for RCM Processes. (Article 5277)
AMSS is committed to achieving the highest levels of maintenance systems execution to obtain reliability of assets and assure the uptime of plant facilities. A business today must deliver products on-time, every time. Without complete facility uptime performance, profitability and stability are at risk. These reliability-centered maintenance techniques and a deep understanding of quality systems management deliver asset protection and lower long-term maintenance costs.
